Hello

Your semen analysis findings may indicate low sperm count.
Sperm count is low.Normally it should be at least 20 millions/ml.

There are also few pus cells in semen. It may be due to contamination or infection.
Besides clinical evaluation, you may need investigations like routine hemogram, random blood sugar, semen culture and sensitivity, hormone analysis, ultrasound of scrotum.
You may need to take antibiotics if infection is indicated.

You should take healthy and nutritious diet.
Take anti-oxidants in your diet.
Avoid smoking, alcohol if you take these things.
Avoid wearing tight undergarments.

Motility is normal.Normally it should be at least 55 %.Your findings suggests overall 60 % motility,so it is normal.
Morphology, liquefaction time etc are also normal.

If findings persists then you may need assisted fertilization techniques.

Get well soon.
Take Care

Pathologist and Microbiologist Dr. Shailja Puri's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
The physical characters of semen - volume of 6 ml, alkaline pH, liquefaction time of 20 minutes are within normal limits.
Sperm count of 6.5 million/ ml is below normal range. The minimum sperm count required is 15 million/ ml.
The minimum sperm motility required is 42%. In your case the sperm motility is 67% which is normal.
Atleast 50% sperms should have normal morphology. In your sample only 37% sperms show normal morphology.
Presence of 1-2 pus cells/hpf is within normal range.
Thus, the sperm count is low and more than 50% sperms have abnormal morphology.
Low sperm counts is associated with difficulty in conception.
I suggest you to repeat the semen analysis after 3 weeks with 3-7 days abstinence and thereafter consult a fertility specialist.

Thanks and take care
Dr Shailja Puri
